mornings.

I've always liked mornings.
Curious rays of sunshine peek their heads through my window;
the light smell of a freshly brewed pot of coffee wafts through the air.
It's easy to let it go by your head and look to the night for a reason to dance or sing.
But that isn't fair to the birds, who don't dance or sing at night.
Or the sun, who shines elsewhere at night.
Or the voices, who speak low at night.
Not so that no one can hear them, but because no one is listening.
Mornings listen to everyone.
They listen if you have something to say, and speak when nothing is said.
Why then is no one listening?
